Confirmation
Confirmation class is typically for middle school aged youth. This two year class is made up of two sections: Bible year and a year about Faithful Living. If you have a student who would be of age, please contact our Pastor.
As part of our lives of faith in the Lutheran tradition, we encourage our youth to attend Confirmation classes. Confirmation is about affirming their baptism and building a solid foundation in faith to guide and strengthen the promises of Christ Jesus in their lives. To help your child to claim their faith and own what he/she believes based on the Bible.To lead them to understand why we believe what we believe and for that revelation to inform how they live their lives of faith In Christ.
Contact Pastor Mike Faust if you and your children are willing and able to make a 2-year commitment to learn and to grow in their faith. Classes are for youth in 6-7 grades. Classes will be on Sunday nights from 6 to 7:30 pm. Dates for the first year of Confirmation class are:
Fall 2026 September 20-November 15, off October 18th
Spring 2027 February 21, 28, March 7, 14, April 11, 18, 25 and May 2
We will use Here We Stand confirmation curriculum by Augsburg Fortress.
How it works: Gather, teach, connect, send.
Each lesson follows the same basic pattern, which models the familiar pattern for worship—gathering, word, meal, and sending.

- GATHER: Look at today’s Bible text, lesson focus, big question, key words, and opening prayer.
- TEACH: Open the Bible and Small Catechism with students.
- CONNECT: Start with the group connection to make life applications, and continue with the Student Sheet activities for Bible, cartoon, Student Book, and life connections.
- SEND: Conclude with a wrap-up, closing prayer, and blessing.
