Another new opportunity to give to missions has been the beginning of the “Noisy Offering”. This is a second offering in our service where the money given goes directly to helping others. The children carry the little offering pails throughout the congregation and receive our loose coins and currency. As we put the coins in the bucket, it makes a clanging noise and that is why it is called the “Noisy Offering.” Yes, we are making a joyful noise unto the Lord! (Psalm 66:1).
October 14, 2012 was our first NOISY OFFERING collection, which we dedicated our collection to ELCA WORLD HUNGER APPEAL.
Each month a new group will be identified as the designated recipient for the collected Noisy Offering.
