Worship
Worship
Worship is the central act of God’s people, gathering to give thanks to God for blessings, offer prayers for the poor, the sick, and those in any need, and to learn of God’s great love for us all.
9 am – Holy Communion Service
Lent
During the season of Lent, the 40 days of preparation prior to Easter, Zion offers light soup suppers with special Lenten worship services. Typically, these are held in the downstairs fellowship hall. You’re welcome to join us– there’s no cost for the meal and the worship is wonderful. These services are casual so feel free to come as you are.
Special Events
At holidays, like Christmas, a special set of service times will be offered. Please look for the announcements on the website or inside our church bulletin The Herald.
Weather Cancellations
Check here on Zion’s website if you’re wondering if worship will be cancelled. A notice will be prominently displayed. Another good place to check is on our local TV stations.
Please use your own judgment whether it is safe for you to travel for worship or not. Your safety is our main concern.
Hearing Assistance
Hearing assistance devices are available. See an usher if you would like to use one of these devices.
Nursery
Our nursery is available for use at any time. Our nursery is stocked with toys, a changing area and other necessities for you and your children.
Sunday School
Sunday School is offered at 10:30 am. We offer classes for all ages. There are currently two adult options, as well as one for high school students and for our youngest members.
Can I Receive the Bread and Wine at Services?
Holy Communion is offered weekly at Zion. All baptized Christians are welcome at the Lord’s Table. You are always welcome to come forward to participate in the sacrament by receiving a blessing. Young children are welcome to come forward for a blessing. Children may begin receiving communion following First Communion instruction, and at the discretion of the pastor and family.
